Story
Meet Harley Hansen.
She is 7 years old, full of energy, and she has just set herself a massive challenge.
On 26/05/2026 Harley is going to climb the highest mountain in Wales—Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon).
But Harley doesn't like to do things by halves. She isn’t taking the train, and she isn’t taking the "easy" path. She has decided to tackle the PYG Track. For those who know Snowdon, you know this is a rugged, steep, and rocky route that involves serious scrambling. It is a huge physical undertaking for an adult, let alone a 7-year-old!
Why is she doing this?
Harley is climbing with her Dad to raise funds for Coeliac UK, a charity that is incredibly close to her heart.
Two years ago, at the age of 5, Harley was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease. It was a scary time and a huge life change for a little girl. Suddenly, she had to navigate a world where food could make her very sick. It meant saying goodbye to "normal" birthday cakes, pizza parties, and fast food, and learning to be hyper-aware of everything she eats.
She has handled her diagnosis with bravery and maturity beyond her years, and now she wants to give something back to help others just like her.
Where your money goes
Coeliac UK does amazing work campaigning for better food labeling, providing support for families, and funding research into a cure. By sponsoring Harley’s climb, you are helping:
* Fund research into the causes and cures of coeliac disease.
* Support newly diagnosed children and families.
* Campaign for better gluten-free options in schools and restaurants.
Please donate whatever you can to cheer Harley on as she scrambles up that mountain. It’s going to be a long, hard day, but knowing she has your support will help get her to the summit!
Thank you so much,
Harley & Glenn
