Marathon Swims 2025 · 8 November 2025 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

This is the 3rd Year I am taking on the Marathon Swims 10k and the 2nd year that I am raising money for Alzheimer's Society.

I am swimming 10k which is 200 lengths of the 50m pool on 8th Nov at London Aquatics Centre at 12:30pm. My goal is to beat the time I set last year just 3hrs 47mins. And to raise £300 for Alzheimer's Society.

I have unfortunately lost 2 family members (my grandma & my great aunt) to this dreadful disease. I also have other friends and family who have been diagnosed with it and also have family and friends who live with their loved ones who have this awful disease.

With Alzheimers and dementia you don't just die once... You die several times and it is heartbreaking to watch people's memories disappear.

At Alzheimer’s Society they are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.

Please sponsor me, we cannot change the past but can help the people battling this disease in the present and the future.
