Story
I don't run. I avoid running. I can’t stress enough how much I dislike running...
If you ever see me running, you should probably run too - because something is chasing me.
But here I am, on Saturday 11th October, I'm taking part in 10k race through beautiful Regent’s Park and voluntarily pounding the pavement (and my knees) to raise awareness and funds for Home-Start Southwark. Why? Because I believe in HSS work supporting families through tough times. And because it matters more than my not-so-great relationship with cardio.
So basically: I’m suffering so others don’t have to.
Feel free to reward this very out-of-character behaviour here 👉

***
Home-Start Southwark is a lifeline for families who are struggling - whether with postnatal depression, poverty, loneliness, or the everyday pressures that can feel overwhelming without support. HSS trained volunteers step in with compassion, encouragement, and practical help, walking alongside families when they need it most. I’ve seen how transformative the work is - how it brings hope, confidence, and connection where it’s been lost. That’s why I’m putting my energy, my miles, and my heart into this race: to raise funds that will help more families feel seen, supported, and empowered. Every step I take is for them, and with your help, we can make sure no parent feels they have to cope alone.
