HSS Sewa
Campaign by Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (UK) (RCN 267309)
HSS Sewa is fundraising for small & medium sized charities, close to our neighbourhoods, and occasionally supporting major disaster appeals. The local charities do selfless work but most do not get national attention.

Story

Sewa is a sanskrit term meaning 'selfless service to humanity and nature'.

HSS Sewa is a community service and support project of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS UK) (Registered Charity No 267309). HSS UK is a nationwide socio-cultural organization with over 118 branches across 65 towns and cities.

Regular activities include games, yoga, health & fitness, educational and cultural for all age ranges (from 4 years to 80+ years old) and attended by over 2000 people on a weekly basis.

HSS Sewa organises fundraising events every year to support local charities across UK. This year, HSS UK branches in Slough and Maidenhead are raising funds for Thames Valley Adventure Playground (TVAP), a local charity supporting children and adults with special needs and their families. More information on TVAP is at https://www.tvap.co.uk/

TVAP provides a unique space where children and adults with any kind of disability can enjoy a wide range of play and recreation activities. This includes a range of adventurous, therapeutic and educational play activities in a safe, caring and stimulating environment. To support TVAP HSS Sewa are organising a range of fund raising activities like walks, yoga, summer fayres etc.
