Holy Trinity Church Westbury on Trym is raising money for Transform Trade

Standing together with communities experiencing injustice, we fight for trade that values people over profit. We used to be called Traidcraft Exchange.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Holy Trinity Westbury on Trym's JustGiving page for Transform Trade's Big Brew in Fairtrade Fortnight 2025. Holy Trinity has a long tradition of supporting Fairtrade and as a Fairtrade Church the Big Brew will be our particular contribution to and support for Fairtrade Fortnight. Supporters were invited to bake cakes made with Fairtrade ingredients where possible, donate them to the Big Brew, and buy a cake made by someone else! And/or come along for Fairtrade refreshments and cake. All donations go to Transform Trade the Fairtrade charity fighting for a fairer trade system and supporting producers and smallholders in the Global South.

Our weekly Cafe in the Church meets every Wednesday morning throughout the year but on this occasion we had a Big Brew to celebrate Fairtrade in Fairtrade Fortnight, and raise funds for Transform Trade. As usual, all were welcome and we had an excellent turnout with lots of cakes. We raised a brilliant £210 on the day and we've made a £200 donation from the church Traidcraft Stall, which is a regular fixture after our 10 am Sunday Service. Donations are still welcome! Thank you.
