Story

Welcome to my TCS London Marathon #TeamHDA fundraising page, and thank you so much for taking the time to visit.

In April 2027 I will be running the London Marathon for the Huntington's Disease Association to raise awareness and funds for this cause that is so close to my heart.

Huntington's disease is a fatal, inherited condition that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain, robbing people of their movement, their thinking and their ability to communicate. There is currently no cure.

My father Denison was taken from us far too early by Huntington's disease. I watched him deteriorate over his later years, and it was heart-breaking. This is not a disease that only affects the person diagnosed — it touches every member of the family, leaving a lasting mark on all who love them. If your family is going through something similar, my heart goes out to you.

The HDA provides vital support, training and advice to individuals, families and professionals living with or affected by Huntington's across England and Wales, while raising awareness and promoting research towards better treatment and care. No one should have to face this disease without support.

I recently received a Huntington's diagnosis myself, which has only strengthened my determination to do everything I can for this charity.

I came to running relatively recently, during a difficult period in my life, and it has been transformative - the mental clarity it brings, the physical challenge, and the simple joy of being outdoors. Taking on the London Marathon feels like the perfect way to channel that passion into something truly meaningful.

Please share my page as awareness is everything. Every pound you donate will help the HDA reach more families who need them.

Thank you so much for your support.
