Green Tie Champions is a fundraising initiative bringing together men who believe in the power of girls’ leadership.

This March, Champions are raising critical funds for Girl Scouts of Connecticut, helping provide girls with hands-on programs that foster confidence, resilience, and leadership. Each Champion is sharing their personal connection to Girl Scouts and inviting their community to support a cause that shapes strong futures.

I chose to participate as a Green Tie Champion because I believe in the transformative impact of female leadership. Girl Scouts empower girls to create the world they want to live in by building confidence and taking action every day. Now that I have a young niece, this work feels even more personal. I want her to grow up in a world where she can thrive, reach her full potential, and feel supported by organizations that champion her future.

Girl Scouts further encourage girls to embrace their strengths, explore new challenges, and show up as their authentic selves, regardless of background or ability. As an openly gay attorney, I am especially proud to support an organization that stands firmly for inclusivity and ensures LGBTQ+ Girl Scouts are welcomed, supported, and celebrated. For more than a century, Girl Scouts has built a community where every member is empowered to grow, lead, and belong.
