Abbey House is doing another Sleepout in The Courts - this time in aid of Ski 4 Cancer. We have chosen this charity – which provides ski trips for children in remission for various types of cancer – in memory of Angus MacWatt, who died over the summer. One of his most life-changing and life-affirming experiences was leading ski trips for children, some of whom were looking at the world through finite windows of time with the knowledge that the cancer would be back and terminal before long. The power of those stoic young personalities and the positivity generated by those trips to the mountains for both the children and their families was something that inspired Angus for over twenty years, and the MacWatt family think that he would be pleased if his death could support more children to enjoy that same delight.
