Story

On Sunday 23rd June 2024, I'll be taking on the Humber Swim to raise vital funds for Humber Rescue.

Humber Rescue is an independent lifeboat charity who have marked their 35th anniversary this year in supplying fast-response search and rescue operations on the Humber Estuary. Humber Rescue receives no government funding and functions independently from the RNLI. Your contributions support training, vital equipment and help us update our life-saving technology.

The Humber Swim, organised by long-time supporters Sarah and Frank Scholes, is a series of iconic swims across the Humber Estuary. Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2024, the event occurs multiple times throughout the summer. Swim durations range from 50 minutes to 1.5 hours, with distances between 1.5k and 4k, depending on the tides. Each swim offers a unique experience due to varying conditions.

Thank you to K Binks (Heating) Ltd for sponsoring my equioment and Village Hotel Hull for sponsoring my training!
