We invite you to support the Hunique Dance Ensemble`s Folk Dance Weekend 2025! - a celebration of Hungarian heritage through dance and community.

Engaging in dance and movement has proven benefits for mental health, including stress reduction and improved mood, while strengthening a sense of community.

For over 15 years, Hunique Dance Ensemble – based in London – has been dedicated to celebrating and preserving our rich Hungarian cultural heritage through regular dance lessons, live performances, and community events like social dance evenings with live music. Being a fully run-by-volunteers charity we highly rely on your support to be able to bring folk dance to as many as possible.

There are actually some areas where money truly makes a difference, and every little counts. With your ever so kind donations we would like to cover extra costs out of our yearly budget to organise a folk dance weekend to provide an opportunity for our participants to develop their skills. This event will focus on Szatmár region with dance instructors arriving from Hungary, and live music on afternoon workshops and Social Dance nights provided by a band well known to our community.

The gathering also has an important community-building power, as we can work together, away from everyday life, while focusing on each other.

We truly believe that dancing brings together people which is increasingly important in a diverse community like London, to offer a sense of belonging.

How Your Donation Helps:

Your contribution via our affiliated charity, the Hungarian Cultural and Heritage Society (HCHS), will directly assist in managing the rising costs of organizing the event. Every donation makes a tangible difference in making this event more accessible.
