On the 26th May 2023, our beloved Mum passed away after a short but immense battle with a very rare disease, Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH).

HLH is sudden and extremely dangerous. Given it's rarity, it is also little recognised and researched, which can mean a slow diagnosis when treatment is required immediately. Histio UK are working to change that.

Their research work covers the causes of histiocytic diseases, early diagnosis, treatment and a cure. Crucially, they also raise awareness of the diseases amongst the medical profession.

Our Mum was very special, always helping others and never once putting herself first. This memorial fund is part of her legacy, our way of following in her footsteps, to ensure that there is a future where no one dies of these cruel diseases.
