Story
Hi, I’m Alex — and this is my son, Misha.
Misha was born on May 1st at just 26 weeks of gestational age — 14 weeks premature. He is currently in the NICU, where he will spend at least the first three months of his life.
This June, I’ll be completing 70 miles — running, walking, cycling, or whatever my postpartum body allows — to raise money for Bliss, the UK’s leading charity for premature and sick babies.
Bliss supports thousands of families across the UK who find themselves, without warning, navigating the world of neonatal intensive care. They fund vital research, campaign for better care, and were there for us when we needed it most.
1 in every 7 babies born in the UK will need specialist neonatal care. Bliss relies on donations to reach the 90,000 babies who need that care each year — funding improvements in neonatal services, shaping policy, and providing vital information and support to families like ours.
Please give what you can, and share this page. Every pound brings us one step closer to a world where every baby gets the start they deserve. 🩵
