Iain is a senior pancreatic cancer surgeon and is keen to raise public awareness of pancreatic cancer and the need to diagnose this cancer as early as possible.

Iain and his two daughters, Joanna and Olivia, are running in the 10k race at the Edinburgh Running Festival to raise awareness and support for Pancreatic Cancer Action.

Pancreatic Cancer Action is the only UK charity dedicated to saving lives through early diagnosis. 

Pancreatic cancer is the 5th biggest cancer killer and the 10th most common cancer in the UK. In the UK, 93% of all patients die within 5 years of diagnosis.
