Story
I have fallen hook, line and sinker for a very special charity. Six years ago I was diagnosed with MS, shortly after getting divorced and all during a global pandemic LOL. I thought my life was over. Spoiler alert - it wasn’t.
It’s taken me six years to find the courage to attend an activity focused solely for people with MS and as someone who seems to only do things of extremes, instead of breaking my MS support group cherry gently by going to a coffee morning in a village hall, I went to my first Hampshire MS Support sailing day delivered by Disabled Sailors Association.
A whole day of sailing in the Solent, wind in my hair, sun on my face and not one thought or worry about how my body will cope. Because everyone there got it (and when I say got it, got MS).
This is a tiny charity achieving mighty things. To help me mark turning 38 at the end of this month, I would like to raise 3.8K for this incredible charity. I would be so grateful for a birthday virtual drink on this page.
Thank you, your life jacket is in the post 🛟 🌊
From your Captain xxxx
