Ian Takes the Leap for GASP Motor Project
On 28 June 2026, our very own Ian Digman will be doing something truly epic – and a little bit terrifying.
Ian, a long‑standing Trustee of GASP Motor Project, has bravely agreed to take part in a charity abseil at the iconic Brighton i360 to raise much‑needed funds for the charity he supports so passionately.
The abseil is no small feat. Starting early in the morning, Ian will descend the height of the i360, facing gravity, nerves, and a very long way down all in the name of helping young people supported by GASP Motor Project.

Why this matters
GASP Motor Project provides practical, accredited training in motor mechanics and engineering for disadvantaged and at-risk young people. Our hands-on courses help learners build confidence, resilience, and employability.
We work with schools, pupil referral units, and community organisations to support those who need it most including young people with special educational needs or at risk of exclusion. At GASP, we believe every young person deserves the chance to discover their potential and gain real-world skills for a brighter future. Every pound raised through this challenge will go directly towards changing lives for the better.
Ian has supported GASP for many years and is now quite literally putting himself on the line for the cause. Your support will help turn this daring descent into lasting impact.
