On the 20th September 2025, my son Sam and I are taking on one of the toughest challenge out there - the Ironman in Italy! We will attempt to swim 2.4 miles in the sea, cycle 112 miles on the bike and then finish by running a 26.2 mile marathon - all in one day!

Why put ourselves through this?

We are doing this to support the YMCA and help raise money to change the lives of young people in East Surrey. The YMCA has the most amazing volunteers and staff who regularly go the extra mile for our service users and we want to do the same to help fund the excellent work they do!

Throughout the year I have been so impressed by all our committed YMCA Challenge fundraisers who have taken on some extremely tough events and raised over £47k for the LIfe Change Fund. They have inspired us to do something equally ambitious in an attempt to raise a further £3,000 towards our charitable work.

The YMCA Life Change fund helps transform the lives of young people by providing housing and support for those who are homeless, by providing short breaks for children with disability and youth clubs and positive activity for young people at risk.
