It's time to beat the highest peak in Northern Ireland!

On the 13 June 2026 our family will take on a 18 mile hike through Northern Ireland's most dramatic mountain range.

When you witness the incredible work of Marie Curie, you immediately understand the immense value of this charity. As a family we have seen first hand the profound difference they make in the lives of patients and their families, particularly in end-of-life care.

As we remember two very special people in our lives, we’ve come together to take on an 18 mile hike around the Mourne Mountain to raise funds for this remarkable cause.

Marie Curie nurses supported our beloved father/father-in-law, Ivan Clarke, from Castlederg, to spend his final days at home in comfort and dignity surrounded by his loving family. The care he received, alongside the compassion shown by the nurses, was unparalleled.

Similarly, our dear Aunt Audrey Moorhead nee Baxter, also, originally from Castlederg was cared for in the Belfast Marie Curie Hospice. Not only did she receive the utmost respect and compassion, but her family were also treated with kindness and support throughout her journey.
