Centrepoint is the UK’s leading youth homeless charity. Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 16-25 year olds into a home and a job every year. Our award-winning helpline provides support to vulnerable young people across the country. We campaign to end youth homelessness by 2037.

Story

Your donations will help Centrepoint give young homeless people a future and commemorate Ian Cullen, husband to Lesley, father to Lucy and Harriet, graduate of Oxford University and University College London, Co-Founder of Investment Property Databank (IPD). A valued colleague, friend and mentor to many.

In the 1970s, Ian began a career as a lecturer and researcher in urban studies at University College. From the mid-1980s, with Rupert Nabarro and an initially small team, Ian was the lynchpin of the principles and methods which took IPD from a start-up to a global leader in real estate information working in 30 countries.

The dozens of tributes on his death testify not just to the exceptional skills he brought to that task but also to his unfailing unflappability, modesty, courtesy, kindness and enthusiasm.

Those memories are cherished by his colleagues, by the several generations of IPD recruits who gained from his consideration and the passion with which he shared his knowledge, by his clients and friends across many businesses, universities and countries.
