During Lent I am raising money for a favourite, and fantastic, charity Mary's Meals. I'm doing a sponsored walk with friends.
Mary’s Meals provides life-changing school meals to children living in some of the world’s poorest communities. The promise of a good meal brings hungry children into the classroom, where they can gain an education and better opportunities for the future.
Amazing fact: Thanks to low-cost approach it costs just £19.15 to provide a child with meals in a place of education for a whole school year. Yes, a whole year for just under £20!
In Lent I'm walking the first part of the Finchale Camino Ingles in sections, from Finchale Abbey near to Durham, to Piercebridge, nr Darlington via, Bishop Auckland, Escomb, West Auckland and Gainford. Friends will be joining me for parts of the route.
