Story
On 27th October, I am off to Namibia to take part in a challenging trek to raise funds for The Urology Foundation. This is a UK charity which funds research, innovation and training for a wide range of urological illnesses including cancers, prostate issues, kidney stones, urinary incontinence, infertility and sexual dysfunction. These diseases affect many millions of people, young and old, across the UK.
Funding is vital to support cutting-edge research and leading educational programmes with the aim of saving lives and reducing the suffering caused by these illnesses.
Our journey takes us from Windhoek to Uis where we start our trek in the Brandenburg Massif. We then trek for 5 days through the Tsisab ravine and the dry banks of the Ugab river, sleeping in tents or under the stars during our journey. On our way, we visit a local school to bring much needed essentials for the children.
I cover all my costs for this challenge so all donations go directly to The Urology Foundation.
Many thanks for your support which is hugely appreciated.
