Story
We're very excited to be offering the Trek Sahara for the fourth time!
Whilst an amazing experience for our supporters, don't underestimate the challenge for those you are sponsoring! They'll be trekking in scorching heat, with no running water, so no showers or toilets for 3 days!
The challenges for each individual taking on this challenge are very different but all have the same aim. To raise funds for our wonderful Hospice which is a very important cause for me personally.
We were incredibly touched by the love and care we received from St Luke's Hospice, Winsford whilst my dad was in their care in 2023. Nothing was ever too much trouble, all information was delivered with such warmth and clarity, but most of all, they made what was such a difficult time that little bit more bearable. Encouraging us to remember the good times and laugh at the silly times.
No amount of money will ever demonstrate the appreciation we have for the hospice, but hopefully completing this Trek will show the love and respect we will always have for this little haven of a place. A place, in which my dad requested to stay during his final days as he felt so safe there. I have never done anything like this before, but thought this would be a good opportunity to give something back to an incredible place. We miss you every day Dad, this Trek is for you!
