Story
Last year, on 14th March 2025, at 17 weeks pregnant, Charlotte and I experienced the heartbreak of losing our baby.
It’s something you never believe will happen to you. And when it does, it changes you in ways you can’t fully describe. The shock, the grief, and the overwhelming sense of loss are unlike anything we had ever felt.
What made it even harder was what followed. Watching the person you love most endure the physical and emotional pain of labour, knowing the baby you had dreamed about would never come home with you, is something no parent should have to face.
In those darkest moments, support matters more than you can imagine. Aching Arms is a charity that provides comfort to families after baby loss, ensuring that parents do not leave hospital empty-handed. They offer a small but deeply meaningful gift — a teddy bear — as a symbol that their baby mattered, that they are parents, and that they are not alone.
On 12th April 2026, I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in memory of our baby and to raise funds for Aching Arms, so they can continue supporting families during one of the most painful times of their lives.
If you’re able to donate, thank you. And if not, sharing this page means just as much.
No family should have to walk this road alone.
