Story
I am jumping with North London Skydiving Centre to raise money for SKEGNESS RNLI because I think they are an invaluable service and need the funds to help them keep saving lives at sea.
My name is Ian and I am 60 years old. I am a self employed electrician, that works mainly on caravans from Skegness through to Chapel St Leonards. I have wanted to do a skydive for a long time, so for my 60th birthday my wife has paid for myself, my daughter and my son to do a jump together for our 'BIG' birthdays this year. To be able to raise money for SKEGNESS RNLI while throwing myself out of a plane at 10,000ft would be a dream come true.
The Skegness RNLI is thankfully not a service I, or my family members have ever had to use in an emergency, but I have heard stories of people that have needed them, and without the RNLI they would not be here today.
The education programme they run for groups and schools is also invaluable especially as we live by the sea. I am a Leader at 6th Skegness Sea Scouts and all of our sections, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts have been to visit the brilliant crew at Skegness lifeboat station on many occasions, who have shown them around the station, talked to them about the boats and about the stations history. The most important thing they talk about however, is water safety and how the young people can keep themselves and their friends safe in and around water, this education is important and they do an amazing job at it.
I would like to raise £500 but it would be great if I can exceed that amount. Because NONE of the money raised is used to pay for the jump this means ALL of the money will go directly to SKEGNESS RNLI.

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page and if you have donated thank you very much for your support.
What the RNLI say -
Too many people are still drowning. More than ever we need the RNLI’s help. As a charity, the RNLI depends on our donations so it can go on saving lives and keeping us and our loved ones safe.
RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline. They’re the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue right around the UK and Ireland. The lifeguards keeping watch on 240 of the busiest beaches in the UK and Channel Islands. And the RNLI safety teams and educators working tirelessly to stop people getting into trouble in the first place.
Thank you.
