Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

You never know when you may need the BHF...

Last year, the day before Resistance 77 were due to fly out to the USA to play Crash Fest in San Francisco, my great friend and bass player, Kieron, suffered a heart attack. Then, in early July this year, our former guitarist, Ellis, also had a heart attack—just weeks before he was due to join us for an acoustic set at Rebellion Festival. Unbelievably, only a few weeks later, Chris, our rhythm guitarist, also suffered one. Thats three great friends in the space of one year….

You couldn’t write it.

Thankfully, the British Heart Foundation was there for each of them—providing vital care, supporting their recovery, and helping them get back on their feet. I’ll forever be grateful for what they’ve done for my friends and so many others.

As many of you know, I was supposed to take on this trek last year, but had to cancel due to my own injury. So this year, it feels like unfinished business. I’ve worked hard over the past 12 months to get fit enough to attempt the Everest Base Camp trek—and now I’m using this challenge as a chance to raise funds for the BHF, a charity that means a great deal to me and my loved ones.

I know many of you generously contributed to last year’s fundraiser, and I can’t thank you enough for your continued support. I’m being joined by my trekking buddy Steve, and together we hope to raise over £1,000. We’d be truly grateful for any support you can give—every donation helps fund lifesaving research and care.

Every step I take is in honour of Kieron, Ellis, Chris—and everyone out there fighting heart disease.

Thank you for your support xx

I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
