24hr Transporter Challenge · 21 October 2023

Our staff and volunteers work incredibly hard to support all those over 18 affected by a brain injury living in Hertfordshire. They provide vital information, support and services to people with an acquired brain injury, their families and carers, across the county. Improving life after brain injury

Story

As many of you know our good friend Simon Tucker AKA Panda was struck down with meningitis in July.

After spending over a month in hospital he returned home and has been making steady progress with his recovery.

To honor the incredible effort, he is making on his journey to recovery I have decided to organize a fundraiser.

Many of you will know the transporter sessions which were sadly retired earlier this year.

For those who aren’t familiar with the transporter format in teams you would carry x5 sandbags, drag a car tyre, drag a lorry tyre & flip / farms carry a tractor tyre around the perimeter of the pitch continually for 35 minutes.

Well for 24 hours it’s back!

50 Member from both Watford & Radlett's Manalive have signed up to keep the kit moving around the pitch continually for 24 hours.

Headway Hertfordshire have been supporting Simon with his recovery and all proceeds from this event will be donated to them to help them with the brilliant work they do supporting people who have suffered life changing brain injuries.
