Story
Have you heard the one about a guy who has acrophobia (fear of heights to you and me) and is planning to do a parachute jump for charity?
Well that guy is me.
I'm the man who can't stand on the edge of a cliff to enjoy the view and definitely can't look out over London from The Shard without hugging the back wall.
It may seem a strange challenge to set myself to jump out of a plane at 12,000 feet but it's all for a good cause, to raise some further funds for a charity that is very close to my heart.
I have been a regular supporter of the Variety Club Golf Society since 1989 and had the honour of being Captain in 2010 and so it seems fitting that if I'm going to throw myself out of a flying machine with some billlowing silk as a sail then I should make it worthwhile.
I would really appreciate if you could donate a few quid to help me reach my target and contribute in buying another much needed Variety Sunshine Coach in 2024.
Thanks Guys in advance for your support and I have already had several people volunteer to pack my parachute for me, much appreciated.
Happy Landings! Ian
