As many of you are aware, in May last year, myself and my family suffered terrible heart ache when my daughter, Tamara, passed away. It has left a massive hole in my life and the life of my granddaughter, Coral.

Over the last year we have had a lot of support from family and friends and from some amazing charities, one being Child Bereavement UK. They have helped myself and Coral in attempting to come to terms with what happened and now I feel it’s time to give a little back to help other families in similar situations.

I will be taking on the Coast to Coast bike ride challenge with a group of friends, cycling from Morecambe to Scarborough…over 140 miles in 2 days. Those that know me know bike riding isn’t my thing so this will be a real physical, mental and emotional challenge.

I know many of you have already given to other fund raising efforts and it’s given my family and myself real comfort to see how much Tamara meant to a lot of you. So if anyone is in a position to donate to another worthwhile cause , it would mean the world to me and it would help countless other families who have to go through a similar experience.

Child Bereavement UK help children and young people (up to age 25), parents, and families, to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. Child Bereavement UK also provide training to professionals, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.
