Team McCrae - fundraiser for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity

Ian McCrae is raising money for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity

IronKids Event & Full IronMan Triathlon, Lanzarote · 17 May 2025

We help the babies, children and young people treated at Scotland's largest children's hospital, the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. We fund medical equipment, research, play programmes and family support services to ensure that our young patients receive the best possible care and experience.

Story

🏃‍♂️🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️ Owen, Olivia, Oscar, and their dad Ian are heading to Lanzarote this week for a HUGE challenge – and it’s all to support Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity!

Owen has been treated at the hospital since the age of 3 for Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, a long-term autoimmune condition. Despite monthly hospital visits, he’s full of energy, resilience, and even goes straight from hospital to swimming club some days!

Now, Owen, Olivia, and Oscar are tackling the IronKids Run-Swim-Run, and Ian is going all-in with the full Ironman triathlon.

They’re racing to say thanks to Ward 1C and the brilliant Rheumatology Team, who’ve been there every step of the way. From specialist care to fun distractions and thoughtful gifts, the hospital has made a hard journey that little bit easier.

Please support their challenge and help raise money for other children going through tough times
