Back in 2018, my good friend Rob, sadly lost his mother, Pat, who had been battling against the odds against both cancer and dementia.

Rob sacrificed a large part of his life to support his mother throughout her illnesses, especially in her latter years, providing care with compassion and love in very challenging circumstances.

I'm supporting the Alzheimer's Society to raise much needed funds to help others facing Pat & Rob's position.

I will be joining a team of 10 trekking 100km across the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert in October (Gulp - that's not far off!!). We'll trek by day and camp under the stars by night, guided by our local guides.

It'll be an adventure, it'll be a challenge and it'll certainly be roasting hot!!
