Story
So, there we were. Sat in a pub one day, wondering how to shift these beer bellies we've been nurturing for the past year. I know what you're thinking. Put down the pint and get active!
But where's the fun in that?
Instead, we ordered another 2 pints and got to work, thinking of a plan.
We figured it'd be nice to have something to work towards. Mr. Universe was obviously the first idea. But with us both being so close to perfection, we figured it would be better to work towards something more difficult.
University challenge seemed like a good idea, but seeing as neither one of use belonged to a university, we thought better of it.
We landed on a bike ride from Manchester to Blackpool. This was going to be particularly challenging for Ian, as he had no bike.
But what is a bike ride with out a charitable cause attached? Well, I'll tell you. Not a very good one! So, another pint in hand, we researched local charities who we felt would benefit from our hard work and dedication.
The Donna’s Dream House Charity in Blackpool is a locally based trust providing free holiday experiences for children and teenagers with life-threatening illnesses and their families, and for recently bereaved siblings and their families
Even though we look well hunky and super cool dressing in our (skin tight!) super hero costumes, we're not the real super heroes here. The real ones are those at Donna's Dream House for the work they do.
And of course, you. The lovely people who have donated their hard earned cash to see us suffer.
Thank you.
