Story

As many will know, my late wife Pauline contracted an aggressive form of colon cancer that spread to her liver, taking her from us in 2024; all within 7 weeks of diagnosis.

My partner Alison lost her husband Tim to pancreatic cancer; he suffered a more prolonged and painful period before passing in 2024.

So, in memory of them and to help raise much needed funds, I have set myself a huge challenge. I will be running the Suffolk Coast Path Ultra Marathon on Saturday 13th September 2025. A 30 mile or 50 Kilometre race, starting at Lowestoft and finishing at Aldeburgh. I’ll not be alone though, some of my fellow club members from Boxted Runners will be running alongside me and supporting me as I endeavour to complete the longest run, I’ve ever attempted.

My aim is to raise more than £2,000 and I’d really appreciate everyone’s donations, so do please be as generous as you can. Your generosity will help Cancer Research UK to continue their research into combating this cruel and unforgiving disease.

Thank you all so much.
