Staff from HMP Fosse Way Serco are taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge for Hope Against Cancer.

On Friday 25 September, a team of staff from HMP Fosse Way, Serco will take on one of the UK’s toughest endurance challenges, completing the National Three Peaks Challenge in just 24 hours.

We will be climbing the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales. Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), pushing ourselves physically and mentally to the limit.

But this challenge is about much more than reaching the summit.

We are incredibly proud to be raising money for Hope Against Cancer, a charity that makes a real difference to people and families affected by cancer across Leicestershire and Rutland.

Founded in 2003 by Allison Wilson CBE, following her own cancer diagnosis, Hope Against Cancer was built on a simple but powerful belief: that local cancer research can help improve outcomes for local people.

Since then, the charity has supported vital research that directly benefits patients, families and communities across our region. The knowledge gained through this work is also shared with the wider scientific community, contributing to national and international efforts to better understand, treat and ultimately overcome cancer.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help support this important work. It will give us even more motivation when the legs are aching, the weather turns against us and we’re wondering why we ever thought climbing three mountains in 24 hours was a good idea!
