Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Mental Health is one of those unseen illnesses that can take many shapes and forms and can affect anyone. It invades your family life and controls you whether you like it or not whether you suffer or are a carer. My own family have been affected by mental health issues and although there have been some potential offers of help, this help is disjointed and lacking and is an easy option for budget cuts and sufferers often rely on local support and charities. One such charity is MIND who operate drop-in centres and crisis cafes offering help and support for those who suffer with mental health issues. A place where you can feel safe. A place where you can talk. A place to be listened to. To run these centres MIND relies on donations which is why we are running the London Marathon in 2026.
We are running to raise awareness and money for MIND so that they can support those who need help. It would be great if you could make a donation, however big or small to this worthwhile charity and make my 26.2 mile run even more special.
When you're experiencing a mental health problem, supportive and reliable information can change your life. That's what MIND does. They empower people to understand their condition and the choices available to them through the following:
- Infoline, which offers callers confidential help for the price of a local call.
- Legal Line, which provides information on mental health related law to the public, service users, family members/carers, mental health professionals and mental health advocates.
- award-winning information, certified by the PIF Tick.
Thank you ☺️
