Access Booking's fundraiser for UK Sepsis Trust

Lee Gunn is raising money for UK Sepsis Trust

Team: Access Bookings

In memory of Ian Taylor-Brett
Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.

Story

It is with a heavy heart that the Access Bookings family announce the tragic and unexpected loss of our beloved co-founder Ian Taylor-Brett.

Ian died peacefully on Friday 29th September at Good Hope Hospital, Sutton Coldfield with Patricia and his two daughters, Julia and Camilla, by his side.

Ian was highly respected for his decades of industry knowledge. He was a truly charismatic man, who wasn't only our manager but also our friend. It will therefore come as no surprise that the grief we feel at Access Bookings is profound.

At the request of Ian's family, Access Bookings is looking to raise money to benefit UK Sepsis Trust in his memory.

Dr Ron Daniels led the team providing Ian's care. Dr Daniels went above and beyond his call of duty, staying to update family members when they arrived from overseas. Dr Daniels is the CEO and founder of the UK Sepsis Trust. Whilst entirely unrelated in this case, the family wish to support the charity in Ian’s name, with gratitude for the care received directly from Dr Daniels.

Ian, you will be fiercely missed, and never forgotten. Your legacy will continue through us all.
