Iggy and I are raising money for St David's Hospice by doing the equivalent of an Ironman in the month of May . This means we will be running 26.2 miles, swimming 2.4 miles and cycling 112 miles all within 31 days.

Iggy will likely complete the swim in less than a week as he trains with Torfaen Dolphins 5 times a week. The challenge for him will be fitting in the cycling, squeezing in a little more running, doing all his homework and not getting injured!

For me - well that's another story! The whole thing will be a challenge but I will make time to get the miles in one way or another and being sponsored certainly is a great motivator!

We are doing this as part of the Rougemont Runners 2022-23 pledge to raise £25,000 for St David's Hospice Care.

Hospice care offers reassurance of round-the-clock expert care, in a friendly, welcoming environment for those who are living through a life limiting illness.

From managing someone's pain, to looking after their emotional, spiritual and social needs, hospice care supports the whole person, helping them to live their life to the full.
