Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic Calender, it is considered the holiest month for us Muslims. It is a time where we come together as one ummah and support those who need us most. Being charitable during this month is important to us as it brings great rewards and helps cleanse our hearts and souls. Giving charity in Ramadan supports people in need, sharing blessings with others and strengthening community ties.

This Year I have dedicated my Ramadan to supporting our brothers and sisters in Palestine In’Sha’Allah,

Palestine is very significant in Islam, as it was the home of many prophets such as Hazeat Ibrahim, Ishaq, Dawud, Yaqub, Sulayman, Zakariya, Yahya, Isa and other companions. Palestine is also home to Masjid Al Aqsa, (the third holiest site in Islam), the first Qiblah (direction of prayer) for Muslims, and was also the site of the miraculous night journey of Prophet Muhammad PBUH.

Donating to Islamic Relief will help provide and support the Palestinian community with the basic necessities they need such as clean water, critical medical and hygiene supplies, and most importantly food parcels for their iftar too.

I invited all of you, to help contribute and support our brothers and sisters who need it most. In’Sha’Allah our support can make a significant difference in their lives, and provide them with the peace they deserve.

Thank you for reading my short story, and for your compassion and generosity during this blessed month. I pray that this your best Ramadan, Ramadan has a way of showing us our potential of who we can be, if we want it to be, because in such short amount of time we are able to achieve so much in spirituality and self-development. Things we often find impossible, suddenly become possible. Thats when we begin to realise it is not just about us not eating, but more so about us remastering ourselves, our habits, our distractions and our desire, and becoming closer to our faith. Ramadan shows us that a version of ourselves exists without limits. I pray that Allah swt makes this Ramadan our best Ramadan In’Sha’Allah, showering us with his blessings in this life and the hereafter, May Allah grant us all Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen
