Story
Hi, I’m Ihtisham, and on 14th September 2025, I will be running the Richmond Marathon with a very close brother of mine—our very first 26.2-mile race.
But we are not just running for a medal or a finish line. We are running for the people who are fighting silent battles, and for those whose hearts keep going—despite everything.
We are raising awareness and donations for not only SANE but also British Heart foundation.
SANE - Why I’m Running:
In July 2021, I was diagnosed with a medical —a condition that not only affected me physically, but also tested my mental strength, identity, and confidence. The lifestyle changes, and the mental toll that followed were overwhelming.
That’s why I’ve chosen to run the Richmond Marathon on 14th September 2025—a full 26.2 miles—to raise money for SANE, a UK mental health charity supporting people who face life-changing mental health struggles.
Their work helps individuals like me who are dealing with conditions that don’t just affect the body—but challenge the mind too.
