Story
I have once again taken on the challenge of running the London Marathon. It is a good job that I had forgotten how demanding it is, or else I would not be doing it again.
I have completed over 85 training runs since January and have just one more left, before the race on Sunday.
I am pleased to be raising money for North London Hospice, a charity caring for more than 3,500 patients and their families every year, in their own homes and at the in-patient unit at Woodside Park, which I have visited. I was in contact with North London Hospice as they now run Race the Neighbours, a friendly and fun local 10k race set up by my husband and a group of friends and they offered me an opportunity to run the marathon, which I could not refuse. Many friends who have had loved ones who have relied on the services have told me what a wonderful service it is.
If I can raise £6,250, it will fund the In-patient Unit for 24 hours.
Thank you for your kind support, which has given me the focus and drive to train through a tough training plan.
If you are in London on 26th April, please do come and support!
