We’re proud to be taking part in the Ilkeston Town F.C. Charity Walk, covering over 50 miles from Ilkeston to Stocksbridge on Saturday 17th April.

This challenge is all about raising vital funds for Ben’s Den, a charity that supports families of children battling cancer and leukaemia. ❤️

Welcome to the Ben Parker Trust Fund

Ben’s Den is a dedicated children’s charity based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, and set up in memory of Ben Parker, who sadly passed away in 2003 following a battle with leukaemia.

The aim of the charity is to support the families of children fighting leukaemia or cancer, by gifting them a free holiday and allowing them to spend much needed, quality family time together away from the overwhelming hospital environment.

The charity was set up by Ben’s parents in March 2004. Since then, they have held many fundraising events and now have 7 caravans in total , one of which is a fully adapted caravan which will mean inclusive access for wheelchairs.

As from November 2023 we have 7 vans , 6 at Mablethorpes Golden sands and the 7th being at Tattershall lakes in Sleaford, this gives us a further option to offer families a short break for 52 weeks of a year.

Up to the opening of the vans at Mablethorpe 2024 we have had in excess of 1500 families use our vans, this is something we are very proud of and look forward to accommodating many more families to make many more lasting memories xx
