As a new resident in Bath I thought, what better way to explore this beautiful city than through a Half-Marathon - whilst raising money for an incredible charity!

I'll be running the Bath Half Marathon alongside with sixteen of my new Truespeed colleagues to raise vital funds for Children's Hospice South West (CHSW).

CHSW provides dedicated hospice stays, emergency care, palliative care and end of life support across three incredible hospices: Little Bridge House in Devon, Charlton Farm in North Somerset, and Little Harbour in Cornwall.

For more than 30 years, CHSW has been caring for babies, children and young people aged 0–18 across the South West. Their support goes far beyond medical and nursing care — it’s about enriching lives, creating precious memories, and wrapping families in compassion during the most difficult times.

How your donations help?

Your support directly contributes to the day‑to‑day running of CHSW’s hospices.

For example:

£215 — Funds one children’s nurse for a day shift

£3,600 — Helps cover one month of food at one hospice

£3,900 — Could fund medical consumables for a year

£4,650 — Could fund a children’s nurse for a month

£7,900 — Could fund a 3–4 day emergency stay for a family, including clinical care and respite

Every donation, big or small, helps CHSW continue their superhuman efforts for families who need it most.
