Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am I am working to raise £50,000 towards The Children's Hospital Charity.

Sheffield Children’s Hospital is one of three stand-alone specialist children’s hospitals in the UK. They provide a broad range of services, from the most intensive emergency care through to support for families in the community and at home – supporting both the mental health and physical health of children and young people.

I am working to raise £50,000 towards the build of a new world-class research and technology centre - the National Centre for Child Health Technology (NCCHT) - which will be run by Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust and based at the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park.

In order to achieve my goal, I am looking to combine two of my passions: swimming and whisky.

• I will swim 1,000 km in my local swimming pool (Ponds Forge) and appeal for donations from my friends, family, business contacts and from the general public. On average I will swim between 15-20 km per week breaking it into 3-5 swims per day.

• I will organise my biggest ever Whisky Charity Auction. I will be reaching out to my extensive network of distilleries, whisky brokers and collectors to gather bottles for a charity auction (to be held at the end of 2025). This will be boosted by my employer (HSBC) Pound for Pound scheme.
