Story

We are delighted to announce our participation in THE RETURN OF THE INFERNO FIREWALK – a daring challenge that promises to ignite not just our spirits but also the lives of many children and young people in Aberdeen City and Shire.

Befriend a Child are supported by a team of volunteer befrienders and mentors who spend time on a 1:1 basis with children and young people in our communities across Aberdeen and Shire. The work of the volunteers has such a positive impact on the young lives they support and without them, Befriend a Child wouldn’t be possible.

Four brave individuals from are participating in the firewalk! One of our placement students Jordan Campbell, along with Ashleigh McDonald, Sarah Pettigrew and Carolyn MacIntosh will all be stepping on the hot coals to help make a difference.

Our commitment to this cause is more than just a walk on hot coals; it's a stride towards making a lasting impact on the lives of the youth in our communities.

By sponsoring us at IMM you are not just contributing to our firewalk challenge you are becoming part of a larger movement to provide vital funds for Befriend a Child. These funds will be used to create joyful experiences for children and young people who truly deserve them.

Your generous support can turn frowns upside down across the region, making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Thank You!
