I'm so excited to run the Hackney Half in support of The Laburnum Boat club, which holds a special place in my heart. The Boat Club has given me access to adventures I wouldn't have dreamed of growing up in the city, and now, working there, I'm in the fortunate position to introduce other young people to outdoor adventure sports and be part of a truly wonderful community.

As a small children's charity, Laburnum Boat Club provides opportunities for the personal development of young people and their families in the local community through participation in a range of water-based activities. They aim to be a positive force for changing lives in a safe and supportive environment and target disadvantaged, disabled and vulnerable young people.

By providing affordable and accessible activities that challenge, motivate and include, the Boat Club supports young people to reach their full potential.
