Imogen and Ebony's fundraiser for Retina Australia

Imogen Muller is raising money for Retina Australia
“My sister and I have RP”
Retina Australia funds world-leading research into treatments and cures for vision loss and blindness caused by inherited retinal diseases (IRDs), and provides information and support to those affected by these diseases. IRDs affect around 1 in 1360 people, which is more than 19,000 Australians.

Story

In January 2021, we went for our first eye exam since moving to Mackay, QLD and for the first time, something unusual was detected. A few months later, we were both diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, and soon after, we were declared legally blind. Genetic testing revealed that we have a mutation in the PDE6B gene and night blindness, and unfortunately, we were told there is no cure. We’re now asking for your support in the *Do It In The Dark* challenge to raise funds for Retina Australia. Please join us in making a difference and spreading awareness.
