Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is the world's leading medical humanitarian aid organisation. We work in over 70 countries - in conflict zones, natural disasters and epidemics. We are independent, neutral and impartial. We provide medical care where it's needed most.

Story

Hi everyone,

I read an article today describing the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Sudan, where it is estimated over 8 million people have been displaced since the breakout of war in 2003. This is especially affecting the youngest in society where almost 25% of children are severely malnourished.

Since the most recent fighting erupted in April, Doctors Without Borders is one of only two charities that are still providing regular assistance in Sudan. Doctors Without Borders also continue to support the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank facing another unimaginable crisis.

I am running the Hackney Half Marathon in May, and initially wanted to run it as a way to get back into running. However, with the ongoing crises across the world, I would like to raise some money to support some of the most vulnerable people in society at the moment.

Please donate what you can aware that we are currently in the middle of a cost of living crisis. It is my birthday coming up in March too so anyone thinking of buying me a present or a beer, please donate to these causes instead.
