Stargardt's Disease is an inherited progressive condition that affects the retina. It causes blurring of vision and problems in seeing fine details such as recognising faces and reading a book. Please donate to help raise awareness, give support and to fund research to find treatments and a cure.

Story

Stargardt’s disease is an inherited progressive disease that affects the retina which typically causes blurring of vision, especially the ability to see fine details and there is no treatment of cure.

When Liv was diagnosed in year 10, it was incredibly difficult to watch her come to terms with this news and learn to adapt to new ways of doing things. But she was so resilient, strong and brave that we decided we should do something to give back to the charity that helped liv and her little sister freya; and so many other people going through the same thing. We were and continue to be so so proud of her; therefore, on the 4th May 2025, many of Liv’s Secondary school friends will be running the Great Birmingham Half.

Running this half marathon is our way of showing Liv that they are surrounded by love and support. Thank you for your generosity, kindness and support!
