As part of my placement with Travelteer, all volunteers are asked to raise a total of £300 to help with the cost of keeping this charity up and running

Travelteer Impact empowers under developed communities and their environments in Sri Lanka and Nepal. All the funds are raised by volunteers who participate in the volunteering programmes. By donating to a volunteers page you will be directly contributing to our efforts and helping us achieve our aims!

In October 2023 I will be starting a 9 month voluntary placement with Travelteer. I will be working in the UK to come up wirh a research project before going to Sri Lanka for 4 months to work on the project whilst carrying out conservation work within community. The placement will be based on wildlife and marine conservation, helping to restore habitats and following a long-term strategy to re-generate key areas of rainforest and maintain and protect coral reefs and the marine life in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka. Whilst in Sri Lanka, I will also be doing work within local schools and communities such as helping to develop local areas and teaching English
