Story

We're Imogen and Alfie and we are running the Edinburgh marathon together in May to raise money for Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity (GCHC). We are both in awe of the amazing work this charity does to fund life-changing equipment, support services and research in the Royal Hospital for Children, the largest Children's hospital in Scotland. I (Imogen) have personally seen much of the charity's work through my mum, who works very closely with GCHC as a neonatal consultant in the Children's hospital NICU. Here, the charity has helped to fund high tech incubators, the latest monitors, resuscitation equipment, heart scanners and advanced ventilator technology for the most premature babies, in addition to providing spaces and practical support for mums feeding their baby.

We are both keen runners and are really excited to take on this challenge - this will be my (Imogen's) first marathon and Alfie's sixth, but we will be running this one together. We're both enjoying training so far, even though the distances are really ramping up!

We would really appreciate any donations you are able to give to such an amazing charity as the Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity. Let's do this!!! 💜💜
