david storrie is raising money for The Royal British Legion

Loaded March · 4 November 2025

The RBL are the UK's leading charity providing financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served and are currently serving in the British Armed Forces and their dependents.

Story

On the 4th of November 2025, the men of A (Lincolnshire) Company will be taking on the arduous challenge of marching to Lincoln Cathedral in search of the famous Lincolnshire Imp, which we carry with extreme pride as our company emblem. A total distance of 41 miles from our home at Kendrew Barracks, completed in 24 hours all while carrying 35 lbs each.

We are raising money for two charities, the Royal Anglian Benevolent Fund and the Poppy Appeal. With both charities being close to our heart, your support and donations in the lead up will be greatly appreciated. These charities both support serving soldiers, veterans and their families through tough times!

In homage to the 10th of Foot (ancestors of The Royal Lincolnshire regiment) we are aiming to raise at least two thousand pounds to split towards these great charities.

We are taking on this tasking to help those who need it most, and to reconnect to our infantry roots covering great distances with kit on our backs showing our gratitude for all those who came before us and those who will come after us!
