On 20 August 2025, Patricia Nixon passed away, following a short illness.

Patricia (or Pat, Trish, Trisha, Patsy, and many other names of affection) was known to, and loved by, many. She was a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and above all, by profession and vocation, she was a teacher.

Mum’s final day and night was spent at Teesside Hospice, a room which lead out to a beautiful garden.

Teesside Hospice is a truly incredible place, to which Mum herself had donated through her life. That she was able to be there in her final hours, the care that she received, and the care that we received, was transformative and it will never be forgotten.

Incredibly, hospices are reliant upon donations, and having experienced what Teesside Hospice brought for us all in the short time Mum was there it is unthinkable that others may not benefit from that care.

So, in memory of our mum, who herself transformed so many lives, who loved intensely, and was herself intensely loved, we invite donations in support for Teesside Hospice.
